Parse Records Guide

What are Parse Records?

Parse Records is your complete history of all videos you've parsed with Second Brain Video AI. It's your personal library of video summaries, transcripts, and notes.

Accessing Parse Records

1. Click Parse Records in the top navigation
2. You'll see a list of all your parsed videos
3. Most recent videos appear first

Understanding Your Records

Each Record Shows:

• Video Thumbnail: Preview image of the video
• Video Title: Name of the video
• Platform Badge: YouTube, Bilibili, TikTok, etc.
• Parse Date: When you processed it
• Duration: Length of the video
• Status:
  • ✅ Success: Parsed successfully
  • ⏳ Processing: Currently being analyzed
  • ❌ Failed: Parsing encountered an error
  • 🔄 Queued: Waiting to be processed

Quick Actions:

• View: See the full summary and transcript
• Re-sync: Send to Notion again (Premium only)
• Share: Get a shareable link
• Delete: Remove from your history

Viewing a Parse Record

Step 1: Click on Any Record

1. Find the video you want to review
2. Click anywhere on the record card
3. The full summary page will open

Step 2: Explore the Summary

The summary page contains:

Overview Section

• Video title and platform
• Duration and parse date
• AI-generated summary
• Main topics covered

Key Points Section

• Bullet-point list of main takeaways
• Numbered for easy reference
• Organized by importance

Timestamps Section

• Important moments in the video
• Click any timestamp to:
  • Copy the time
  • Jump to that moment (if video link available)
  • See what was discussed

Full Transcript Section

• Complete text of the video
• Searchable with Ctrl+F / Cmd+F
• Copy-paste friendly
• Time-coded paragraphs

Step 3: Take Action

From the summary page, you can:

• Export: Download as TXT or PDF
• Copy: Copy summary to clipboard
• Share: Generate shareable link
• Notion: Sync to Notion workspace (Premium)
• Re-parse: Process again with new AI prompts

Filtering and Searching

Search by Keyword

1. Use the search box at the top
2. Type video title, topic, or keyword
3. Results update in real-time
4. Search works across:
   • Video titles
   • Summaries
   • Transcripts
   • Tags

Filter by Platform

1. Click Filter button
2. Select platform:
   • YouTube
   • Bilibili
   • TikTok
   • Vimeo
   • Instagram
   • Facebook
   • Twitch
3. See only videos from that platform

Filter by Date

1. Click Date Range dropdown
2. Choose preset:
   • Today
   • Last 7 days
   • Last 30 days
   • Last 3 months
   • All time
3. Or set custom date range

Filter by Status

1. Click Status filter
2. Select:
   • Success only
   • Processing
   • Failed
   • All statuses

Sort Options

Organize your records by:

• Newest First (default)
• Oldest First
• Title (A-Z)
• Title (Z-A)
• Duration (Longest)
• Duration (Shortest)

Managing Your Records

Re-parsing a Video

Sometimes you want to process a video again:

1. Open the record
2. Click Re-parse
3. Optionally change AI prompt
4. Wait for new results
5. Old summary is replaced

When to re-parse:

• You've improved your AI prompts
• Initial parsing had errors
• You want a different summary style
• Transcript quality was poor

Syncing to Notion

For Premium users:

1. Open any record
2. Click Sync to Notion
3. Choose destination database
4. Page is created/updated in Notion

Bulk Sync:

1. Select multiple records (checkboxes)
2. Click Bulk Actions
3. Select Sync to Notion
4. All selected videos sync

Sharing a Summary

1. Open the record you want to share
2. Click Share button
3. Choose sharing option:
   • Public Link: Anyone with link can view
   • Private Link: Expires after 7 days
   • Email: Send directly to someone
4. Copy link and share

Privacy note: Shared links show summary only, not your account info

Exporting Records

Single Export:

1. Open a record
2. Click Export
3. Choose format:
   • TXT: Plain text file
   • PDF: Formatted document
   • Markdown: MD file
   • JSON: Raw data
4. File downloads automatically

Bulk Export:

1. Select multiple records
2. Click Bulk Actions → Export
3. Choose format
4. Downloads as ZIP file

Deleting Records

Single Delete:

1. Open the record
2. Click Delete (trash icon)
3. Confirm the action
4. Record is permanently removed

Bulk Delete:

1. Select multiple records
2. Click Bulk Actions → Delete
3. Confirm deletion
4. All selected records removed

⚠️ Warning: Deleted records cannot be recovered!

Organizing with Tags

Adding Tags

1. Open any record
2. Click Add Tag
3. Type tag name (e.g., "tutorial", "important")
4. Press Enter
5. Tag is saved

Suggested tags:

• By topic: "programming", "marketing", "design"
• By priority: "important", "review", "reference"
• By status: "watched", "to-watch", "incomplete"
• By project: "project-a", "client-x"

Filtering by Tags

1. Click Tags filter
2. Select one or more tags
3. See only matching videos
4. Combine with other filters

Managing Tags

1. Go to Tags Manager (in settings)
2. See all your tags
3. Rename or delete tags
4. Merge duplicate tags
5. Set tag colors

Usage Statistics

View Your Stats

1. Click Stats tab in Parse Records
2. See:
   • Total videos parsed
   • Total watch time saved
   • Most parsed platform
   • Credits remaining
   • Average processing time

Monthly Breakdown

• Videos parsed this month
• Credits used
• Storage used
• Popular video types

Platform Distribution

• Pie chart showing platforms
• Click segments for details
• Export data as CSV

Troubleshooting

Can't find a video?

• Check your search filters
• Try searching by platform
• Look in "Failed" status
• Check if it was deleted

Failed parsing status?

• Click the record to see error details
• Common causes:
  • Video is private/deleted
  • Platform not supported
  • Network error during parsing
• Try re-parsing

Notion sync not working?

• Verify Premium subscription is active
• Check Notion connection in Settings
• Ensure destination database exists
• Try disconnecting and reconnecting

Export button disabled?

• Check if record loaded completely
• Try refreshing the page
• Clear browser cache
• Contact support if persists

Best Practices

✅ Recommended:

• Add tags to important videos
• Regularly review and organize records
• Export important summaries as backup
• Use filters to find content quickly
• Delete failed/unnecessary records to save space

❌ Avoid:

• Keeping duplicate parses of same video
• Never organizing with tags
• Ignoring failed parses (investigate why)
• Sharing sensitive content publicly

• Ctrl/Cmd + K: Quick search
• Ctrl/Cmd + F: Find in transcript
• E: Export current record
• S: Share current record
• T: Add tag
• Delete: Delete record (with confirmation)

Mobile Experience

Parse Records works on mobile:

• Swipe left on a record for quick actions
• Pull down to refresh
• Tap and hold for bulk selection
• Bottom navigation for filters
