What is Notion Integration?

Connect your Second Brain Video AI account to Notion to automatically save all your video summaries, transcripts, and notes directly to your Notion workspace.

Available for: Premium Plan subscribers only

How to Connect Notion

Step 1: Enable Premium Plan

1. Go to Pricing Page
2. Subscribe to Premium Plan ($12/month)
3. Complete payment
4. You'll see "Notion Integration" feature unlocked

Step 2: Connect Your Workspace

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Find the Notion section
3. Click Connect to Notion button
4. You'll be redirected to Notion's authorization page
5. Select your workspace
6. Click Allow Access
7. You'll be redirected back with success message

Step 3: Select or Create Database

After connecting, you need to choose where to save your videos:

Option A: Use Existing Database

1. Click Select Database
2. Browse your Notion workspace
3. Choose an existing database
4. Click Confirm

Option B: Create New Database

1. Click Create New Database
2. Enter database name (e.g., "Video Summaries")
3. Select parent page
4. Click Create
5. Database will be automatically configured

Step 4: Test the Integration

1. Go to homepage
2. Parse any video
3. Check your Notion database
4. You should see a new page with:
   • Video title
   • Summary
   • Key points
   • Timestamps
   • Full transcript
   • Video URL

What Gets Synced?

Each parsed video creates a Notion page with:

Page Properties

• Title: Video title
• URL: Original video link
• Platform: YouTube, Bilibili, etc.
• Duration: Video length
• Parsed Date: When you processed it
• Language: Original video language

Page Content

• Summary: AI-generated overview
• Key Topics: Main themes
• Timestamps: Important moments (clickable)
• Full Transcript: Complete text
• Tags: Auto-generated based on content

Managing Your Integration

View Connected Workspace

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. See your connected Notion workspace
3. View selected database
4. Check sync status

Change Database

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Click Change Database
3. Select a different database
4. Click Confirm
5. Future videos will sync to new database

Disconnect Notion

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Click Disconnect
3. Confirm the action
4. Your existing Notion pages won't be deleted
5. New videos won't sync until you reconnect

Customizing Notion Pages

Add Custom Properties

You can customize your Notion database:

1. Open your database in Notion
2. Click + New Property
3. Add fields like:
   • Priority (Select)
   • Status (Status)
   • Notes (Text)
   • Rating (Number)

Create Views

Organize your videos with Notion views:

• Table View: See all properties
• Calendar View: Sort by parsed date
• Gallery View: Visual card layout
• Board View: Group by platform or status

Use Templates

Create a Notion template for consistency:

1. Open any video page
2. Add your custom sections
3. Save as template
4. Future syncs will use this format

Troubleshooting

Videos not syncing?

• Check your Premium subscription is active
• Verify Notion connection in Settings
• Ensure database still exists
• Try disconnecting and reconnecting

Missing information in Notion pages?

• Check if video was parsed successfully
• Verify database permissions
• Some platforms may have limited data

Can't find synced pages?

• Check the selected database
• Use Notion search for video title
• Verify sync happened after connection

Want to sync old videos?

• Go to Parse Records
• Click any old video
• Click Re-sync to Notion
• Page will be created/updated

Best Practices

✅ Recommended:

• Use a dedicated database for video summaries
• Add custom tags for easy filtering
• Create different views for different platforms
• Regularly review and add notes
• Share useful videos with team

❌ Avoid:

• Connecting to databases with existing content
• Disconnecting/reconnecting frequently
• Deleting the database (breaks sync)
• Removing integration permissions in Notion

Privacy & Security

• Your Data: We only write to your selected database
• Permissions: We request minimum required access
• No Reading: We don't read other Notion content
• Revoke Anytime: Disconnect in Settings or Notion admin
• Existing Pages: Not affected by disconnection
